In searching for precedents for my project I found these role models in London: a small group of retired women who set out to ride every bus in London. And they did it! Their project was a bit more ambitious (there are hundreds of lines in London), all the better to inspire me!
They had pretty simple and straightforward “rules” – simply to ride end to end on every line. And they used it to take advantage of and advertise a program in London that provides a free bus pass to folks over 62. It took them about 5 years, and they’ve since moved on to visiting museums. But I appreciate the simplicity of their approach: ride the buses in numerical order, end to end. Take some pictures. Post a report.
